My house is a MESS, right now! Scott and I have a place for everything. We even got rid of 6 bags of toys, clothes, ect. The large bags, even! Well, I have learned that unless I am constantly after the kids telling them what they dropped and what they need to pick up, they won't 'get it'. Training children is not easy. In fact, it's very time consuming and detailed. I want my kids to learn responsibilty, as I teach myself consistency. I've never been a consistent person, and that had to be one of hardest things for me to grasp. The good news is, I just put my baby down for a nap and Elijah is watching Arthur so I will be able to catch up on the floors, and hopefully laundry.
Also, wanted to add that it certainly is hard to be on target all the time. I must admit there are days were I get tons done, then days when I don't want to do any house work and just let it go. With a family of 7, letting it go for just 2 hours can cause disaster! There ya go, I must adapt to that faithful word (say it with me)...CONSISTENCY!
By the way, and ideas would be helpful : ) just leave a comment!
